Welcome to Discovery Ski Club and Race Team!
We are not your typical ski area race team. Our club is a non-profit, parent-run organization which provides kids from age 5 to 16 years old the environment to develop a lifelong passion for skiing. Our programs allow participants of all abilities and goals to build confidence and learn the technical skills to take them to their next level. Whether their desire is to shred the steeps of "The Backside" or to progress their racing skills to the next level of competition, our programs are designed to do the following:
- Provide an experienced coaching staff working within a small group of similarly matched individuals to help each person progress.
- Teach each child how to improve their technical skiing ability to allow them to challenge themselves in a safe manner.
- Join the race team where Discovery kids consistently compete in the top levels of their age groups across Montana.
- Take advantage of skiing at Discovery on a regular basis, having fun and meeting new friends from Anaconda, Butte, Helena, Whitehall, Missoula and Bozeman.
As you learn about our three programs; ESP, Learn to Race and our travelling Race Team, you will see we have a match for kids at all levels and intensity. The three programs can act as a progression or as a consistent place for kids to grow their confidence skiing with their peers. One of the things we are most proud of at Discovery Ski Team is how our alumni ski racers continue to participate and contribute to our programs with many returning each year to become our ESP coaches. Watching our older kids pass on their love of skiing to the kids now coming though the program is one of the most rewarding achievements of our team.
